Belief, Truth, Knowledge...

Have you ever wondered why we go to school? Why we bother to go to college? Why it is so important to get an education? In my opinion we do as were told, we conform. We follow tradition. We are taught to believe in the truth of knowledge. But, what if someone were to question their beliefs? That’s why there is so much animosity between religions, races, sexes, and people in general. People believe that what they know the truth about their own knowledge. Upon reading this you may wonder ‘How do belief, truth and knowledge correlate?’
Belief is a state of mind where trust or confidence is placed. Where as truth is the state of being the case: fact. While knowledge is the fact of knowing something, gained through experience of associating. What’s this mean? Well everybody takes it a different way. I see it the same way as Plato did, in that there is allot of beliefs and knowledge out their in the world, but you can’t possibly know all he knowledge and all the beliefs out their. Yet there is some truth in both of them. So that means that you may believe something that is considered knowledge and truth yet it may just turn out to be false knowledge which is the same as a lie. You may also believe you know something that also isn’t true, so you’re left with another lie. Basically there’s really no way to know for sure that what you believe or know is true. That’s why truth is the smallest thing we have in this world to hold on to. Because when you have the truth you’ve fond the core to a million possibilities.
