What is wisdom?

Wisdom is a form of learning. Some see wisdom as a quality that even a child, otherwise immature, may possess. Even though the child may not know as much as a adult. Experience in a certain subject will give that child more knowledge than a otherwise wiser adult. To some extent the terms wisdom and knowledge have similar and overlapping meanings. Because these two words go hand in hand, one who has wisdom, must posses knowledge. Some define wisdom as foreseeing consequences. Or acting to maximize the long-term common good. So wisdom can be viewed as something consisting of ideas and principles that govern all actions and decisions that may affect the future.
